About Matt

Hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, Matt (he/him) decided to forgo a stateside education and instead hopped the pond to Scotland for his collegiate studies. After three years full of culturally rich experiences (and some foreign alcohol), he proudly graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a BA in Acting.

While studying in Glasgow, Matt discovered his love for comedy and devised theatre, which led him to perform devised pieces in the McLellan Arts Festival and the Spoleto Festival dei Mondi. He also decided to ditch those scorching 125 degree Arizona summers and instead spent that time working at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with the American High School Theatre Festival (AHSTF).

Besides acting, Matt has directed and led a variety of youth summer camps, taught Shakespeare workshops in secondary schools, and been accent/dialect coach on multiple high school productions. These educational experiences have not only led to Matt's honed beached whale impersonation in the fan-favorite game "Ships & Sailors," but also to a lot of joy and growth for Matt.

In his spare time, Matt likes to play sudoku (only the easy ones), do escape rooms (to further induce stress), and knit scarves for all his friends (yes, he is accepting commissions - for scarves and friends).
